When you see the 4AF Certified seal, it means that our consultants have inspected and authenticated a particular item. Furniture is at least 105 years old, is not refinished unless noted, and retains its original hardware. Keep in mind that such authentic antique furniture typically bears some indications of its age, wear and use. 4AF certification is performed by accredited consultants and/or appraisers in your area.
To get started you must provide us with a short description of the item, its dimensions, your offering price (if the item is for sale), along with a set of digital pictures. 4AntiqueFurniture.com will as necessary resize and optimize your photos for the web, and categorize your antique for viewing by others.
4AntiqueFurniture.com does not charge a sales commission - rather our listing service involves a modest set-up fee per item. Note any Offering Price shown is set by the owner - price negotiations are confidential between buyer and seller.
PICTURES! PICTURES! PICTURES! Whether you're interested in selling one piece or an entire collection, the first request dealers, auctioneers, consignment shops or individual buyers will have is "please send me some pictures." Excellent pictures are essential for selling antiques online. For tips on taking pictures of antiques, and valuing and selling your antique furniture subscribe to our free monthly newsletter.
